Portraits and Self Portraits Intro

Image
Tips create a candid looking photo play with angles always have your camera ready be creative Environmental Portrait  I chose these two images because I like the simplicity of them. The subject is very clear and the photos aren't really posed. It is the subject in their environment doing their thing.  Photography Self Portrait I chose these two photos because the first she had portrayed herself in a certain way and the man is expressing how he feels as a photographer and that is the beauty is within the eye of  the beholder. Casual Portrait I chose these two pictures because although they are kind of posed, it doesn't look like the subject is trying to hard. Its casual. Planning For my shoot, my subject will be two of my close friends. One of them plays basketball so I was thinking I could do something with that. I was also planning to go hiking soon. So, I thought it would be creative to take pictures on the hike. For my self port...

Photo Manipulation and Ethics

Image
A. What are some of the main points you read about in the website above regarding manipulating images? I learned that many newspapers and magazines photoshop the pictures. They do this because they think that the person/people photographed are not aesthetically pleasing so, they make them look thinner and more attractive. And, most of the time, they don't even inform the people that they are photoshopping them.  B. What is the philosophy of newspapers like the Washington Post and the New York times regarding image manipulation? They are very strict about which photos they can photoshop and which photos they can't.  C. What do you think are acceptable things you could do to an image and not cross the line unto an unethical manipulation? I think that they can change the colors and lighting of the photo and possibly edit out things in the background. But, that should be all.  On your blog D. Post the manipulation (this means get t...

Simplicity This photo shows simplicity because of that exactly, it is simple. From everything that is happening in the moment, the photographer managed to capture this. In some way, it is calming. The way the man is frozen in time. The Rule of Thirds  These photos convey the rule of thirds because the subject is in the side of the photos. They are both at the bottom left.   Lines  This is showing lines because of the American flag and the light shining in only that one spot. Favorites from the year 2017

Image
I chose this photo because its about people having a protest about white nationalists. These people had gotten hit by a car that was driving through the crowd. I think that this is terrible. I chose this photo because these people were looking at the eclipse. This is very important because its a once in a lifetime event. This solar eclipse happens once every few years. I chose this photo because I think it is important. This is because the concert was held in Manchester to raise money for the shooting that happened there at the last concert. What was the best song of 2017? In my opinion, I think that the best song was, 'Broken Halos' by Chris Stapleton. This is because I love country music and Chris Stapleton is my favorite country artist. The song is very different from many other country songs. It's more slow paced. Although, it is very good and original compared to other country songs that are trying to merge into pop music.  ...
