The percentage of 2016 was 52. 
2. What percentage of Texas high school students should be enrolling by 2030, according to the article?
The percent of high school students that should be enrolling to meet the goal in 2030 is 65. 
3. What is the impact on students who do not enroll directly into college, according to the article?
The impact on students who do not directly enroll is that they are considerably less likely to earn a certificate or degree than their counterparts who matriculate right after high school graduation. 
4. What two states did the story mention who have a higher percentage enrolling directly?
The two states that have a higher enrolling directly percentage are Massachusetts and California.  
5. What is one plan that the Higher Education Commissioner  Raymund Paredes hopes to push through the state legislature?
He hopes to win approval of a proposal to create a financial incentive for public universities to improve graduation rates.

yes, I do think that college is important because it is the form of a higher education. 
b. Do you plan to enroll directly into college?
Yes, I do plan to enroll directly into college for a head start. 
c. Is the push to get more students into college impacting other areas of society?
I think that is going to impact society because the ideas that are expressed are very good. 
d. Do you think it is possible to have a comfortable life without a college degree?
I feel that this is only under few circumstances. Some people have been able to create their own businesses without attending college and they became rich from it. Others, have become famous which makes them money without a degree. Besides that, the chance of living comfortably and becoming successful are very slim. 
e. Are workforce certifications and opportunities equally as important in society, i.e. military, postal service, some medical positions like dental hygienists, commercial pilots, detectives, etc.?
Of course these are very important things. Although, people don't really think about them being important. Without the military, we wouldn't have ways to fight for our country. Without dentists, everyone would have terrible teeth, etc. 
f. Have you considered potential jobs that do not require a college degree?
I've only considered something like acting but my chances of that are small. I have also considered starting my own business but I would rather have a degree. That piece of paper can take you places.
