Final Exam Part 3

Allowances  Many families give their children an allowance each week for many reasons. Allowances are very good for children in many ways, When they have a job and they are living on their own, they will be able to balance their spending and savings. Some parents give their children allowances regardless of their behavior because they believe that this teaches them about finance. While others, give them an allowance as a reward for completing chores and or good grades. In my opinion, I believe that children should only receive an allowance as a reward, not as a way to keep their children behaving. Children should behave on their own rather than needing to be paid for it. Kids should start getting allowances as soon as they start talking about and asking for money. "It was a fast developing front that we could not have anticipated any faster." director James Jones said.  At 3 a.m., they contacted the Solomon Islands government, warning of the approach of Cyclone Victor. Government officials began to warn the police and all shipping.  "We warned all the proper authorities." Jones said.  By 10 a.m., winds in Honiara were blowing at more than 140 kilometers per hour. "The storm had sustained winds of 140 kph and was classified as a Level 4 Cyclone" Jones said.  At about midday, the centre of the cyclone passed directly over Honiara before tracking into the Coral  Sea, where it blew itself out. Story #2 Last Saturday, 19 year old Timothy Milan died.  A guard at Panzer's Department Store told police he saw Milan stuff two sweaters down his pants legs, then walk past a checkout line and out of the department store. "We saw him start running and the guard was right behind him." eyewitness Sherry Carter said.  The guard then began to chase Milan, who ran, and three bystanders joined in the pursuit. They caught up with Milan, and, when he resisted, one of the bystanders applied a headlock to him. "We went outside to see what was going to happen and we saw the boy get dragged to the ground." Carter said.   A police officer who arrived at the scene reported that Milan collapsed as he put handcuffs on him. An autopsy conducted to determine the cause of death revealed that Milan died due to a lack of oxygen to the brain. "It was a case of excusable homicide." police spokesman Michael Williams said.  Police today said they do not plan to charge...
